24 June, 2005: I've posted a few pictures of summer events from the last few weeks of Trinity Term at Wadham. These include the Finalists/Graduates Garden Party with the Warden, and the Burlesque Ball.

23 April, 2005: I'm flying to Moscow on Tuesday to give FreeBSD talks at Open Source Forum Russia and at Moscow State University. I will return on 2 May.
16 April, 2005: I've just returned from a great week in Snowdonia with other Wadham College MCR members on the annual reading/hiking retreat. Pictures are here.
15 April, 2005: DeDe and her family have returned from Ireland. The pictures are posted here.
6 April, 2005: I just returned after a nice exchange dinner at Christ College Cambridge. We spent the night and had a nice dinner and visit with their MCR. The next morning I stayed later to have lunch with some friends. Pictures are posted here
22 March, 2005: I submitted my final projects and thus the Hilary Term has ended for me, hurray! No more coursework, only a dissertation to write.
11 March, 2005: Nik and his girlfriend Lisa came up to Oxford for another MCR Guest Dinner. A few pictures have been posted here.
21 January, 2005: We had haggis, whisky, poetry, and bagpipes in hall to celebrate Burns Night in Wadham. The pictures are here.
19 January, 2005: We've moved from Iffley to Summertown, which is a little closer to the Oxford city centre and a much better place to live for various reasons.
17 January, 2005: Hilary term has begun in Oxford so I won't have time to post again until early Spring. My academic page contains some information about lectures and activities this term.
16 January, 2005: DeDe and I are back from our 10 day trip to Morocco. The pictures have been posted here. We had a great time. Term starts tomorrow and we are in the middle of moving from Iffley to Summertown in Oxford.
25 December, 2004: DeDe and I went down to London on Christmas Eve to have dinner with Julie and AJ and their family. We are staying in their old flat this week as they are in the process of moving and have an extra flat until the new year. Mom arrived in Gatwick on Christmas morning, and I've posted some pictures of our various sightseeing adventures here.
22 December, 2004: I spent the day today in Wales researching some family history at the Gwent Record Office. I have posted some pictures of the area here.
20 December, 2004: The first term is over! I submitted my mini-projects today and will presumably learn how I did sometime in January when I return for Hilary term.
27 November, 2004: DeDe and I are going to Morocco in January. We bought round trip flights from London to Marrakech and we'll try to figure the rest out from there. If you have recommendations for things we must see and do while we are there, please send me an email.
20 November, 2004: DeDe and I ventured into the unknown last night for one of Oxford's biggest annual parties: The Wadham College QueerBop. The pictures are posted, but viewer discretion is advised.
14 November, 2004: DeDe, Mark, and I learned how to make sushi last night with the Oxford Japanese Society. I've posted pictures here.
3 November, 2004: I've posted pictures from the election night party at the Oxford Union. Earlier in the night we also had a great dinner with the Japanese Society at a restaurant called Edamame right next to Wadham College.
29 October, 2004: I finally posted the 2 photos that I managed to take at matriculation before the batteries in my camera died. It was a fun day, spent almost entirely inside Oxford pubs. Hopefully others will send me the pictures they took from matriculation so that I can post them here. My friend Kevin took some and posted his here.
10 October, 2004: Michaelmas Term begins today, so don't expect much activity on this website until December.

2 October, 2004: I'm in Milan for the weekend for GUFICon, a FreeBSD Conference. The first pictures have been posted here.
27 September, 2004: We've arrived in England and moved into our new house in Oxford. The first pictures of our new place have been posted here.
22 September, 2004: The first two albums from our trip to Beijing have been posted on the China page.
14 September, 2004: DeDe and I are going to Beijing on 17-21 September. We bought round trip soft-sleeper train tickets for 1000 RMB each. The train ride is 12 hours, so we will have 4 days and 3 nights in Beijing.
10 September, 2004: The pictures from LinuxExpo Shanghai have been posted.
9 September, 2004: My friend Max has cool maps of the world with areas he has visited hilighted. He used a free online service to create the maps so I created my own and posted them here.
7 September, 2004: I tranferred several albums from DeDe's laptop to this site, including Pam's wedding, the Scottish Games in Oakland, and I added 60 more pictures to our album from Hawaii.
4 September, 2004: I found hundreds of old pictures from Philadelphia, Camping in the Redwoods, Thanksgiving 2001, Christmas 2001, and Lacey's wedding while trying to find a work file on some old backups.
1 September, 2004: I've posted DeDe's pictures from our trip to Suzhou as well as her pictures from the previous week. Enjoy.

29 August, 2004: Pictures from the combined summer party (Bob's birthday, Andy's one month birthday, Bob and Emmy's anniversary, and both of Emmy's parents' birthdays) have been posted here.
26 August, 2004: We gave a CDROM of the cover artwork and PDF file to the printer today for the FreeBSD Handbook 3rd Edition (Volume 2).
25 August, 2004: DeDe picked up her visa today without incident, and we purchased a seat for her on the same flight as me to London in late September.
20 August, 2004: Prints can now be ordered from Shutterfly for four more albums. I placed orders from both Shutterfly and ophoto to see which produces better quality pictures.
19 August, 2004: I picked up my visa from the British Consulate. I can enter and leave as I please until January 2006. My friend ZHU Jia happened to be there picking up passports for some chinese students to study in Britain for the school she works for. Next we need to apply for DeDe's visa, which will be more difficult since she wants to be allowed to work.
19 August, 2004: I was doored pretty hard today while riding my bike to the Zhong Shan Park metro station. Some girl opened up her car door at the last minute, which caught my bike, and I went flying over the handlebars. My bike is still rideable but needs some repairs. I'm sore but mobile. Please look before you open a door on a road filled with cyclists.
19 August, 2004: The pictures from 2002 (Germany, Italy, and Taiwan) and 2003 (Colorado, Hawaii, and Pasadena) have been indexed. This means that individual pictures from these albums now show up in the By Subject list.
18 August, 2004: I've posted many of Christian's pictures online here, including pics from Suzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Mao Ming Lu, and more Shanghai.
17 August, 2004: We've been offerred a 2-bedroom house at Court Place Gardens for £ 469.55 per month from 24 September 2004 to 31 July 2005. Looks good so far.
17 August, 2004: I've posted two new photo albums containing pictures taken by DeDe and LI Dong.
16 August, 2004: Saturday night we went out for a nice dinner with Bob and Emmy and then went out for drinks on Maoming Lu. On Sunday LI Dong and ZHU Jia took DeDe and I shopping and then for dinner. Pictures are here.

11 August, 2004: I posted the pictures from this past weekend; a party put on by my language school and then a dinner meeting with the FreeBSD China group.
8 August, 2004: A subject directory is now automatically generated for the photo albums, so that you can easily see all pictures of a person or subject throughout the whole site from one index. Only the albums from 1998-2001 have been indexed at this time.
6 August, 2004: The FreeBSD Handbook will hopefully go off to the printer within 2 weeks.
5 August, 2004: The British Consular Officers in Shanghai are still being jerks. They accepted by application for a student visa but intimated I was a liar, made fun of my name, and otherwise made things difficult.
