This sign claims that the communists were not interested in fighting the Japanese, and that Chiang Kai Shek's nationalists were fully devoted to that cause. My college textbooks on the subject claimed otherwise. Wasn't it Chiang Kai Shek himself who said "The Japanese are a cancer of the skin, the communists are a cancer of the heart"?
